There’ s a lot of yoga out there, but not a lot that is designed with the pregnant woman specifically in mind. We avoid heating and abdominal compression, and specialize in beneficial modifications of classical postures. You get the benefits of classical asanas (postures) without injury or exhaustion.

At Alcove Yoga, we take you through a different sequence of postures every week, so you’ll never get bored. Yet we always cover the essential postures you’ll need for your outer body, with particular emphasis on the pelvis and chest. You’ll elongate and spread tight muscles, lubricate stiff joints, and firm up your outer structure. Your inner structure will feel lighter, softer, and more fluid and vibrant.
Just because you’re pregnant doesn’t mean you can’t have a good physical workout. But you must work in a way that doesn’t threaten the baby or exhaust you.
