Covid 19 Special Announcement:
Classes Now Available Online

Live Streaming Yoga Classes through Zoom.us
Sign up through our website and our wellness living portal as usual. 30 minutes prior to class, I will send all registered students for the class the link with meeting ID. You go to zoom.us and “join a meeting” with the meeting ID.

How it Works:

  • You can register now through the (limited) schedule posted on alcoveyoga.com/login. All current class packs are valid for online classes.
  • You will receive an email 30 minutes before the class start time that will provide you with a web link to join a Zoom meeting of the class.
  • Zoom is a video conferencing software that can be used on Mac, windows pc, or any mobile device. It is free for Alcove students. You can download it here.
  • The zoom download and install process happens only the first time (if zoom is not already installed). Subsequent zoom meetings will skip the installation process.
  • The simplest install and operation is probably to use an iPad (or another large screen tablet) propped up to where student can see the screen and the built-in camera is pointed at the student.
  • Students should make every effort to setup zoom and their built-in camera or external camera ahead of time so technical glitches are worked out in advance.
  • About 10 minutes before class, click the emailed Zoom link from info@alcoveyoga.com to join the class.
  • If you have trouble accessing a class at the scheduled time, don’t freak out. Take a breath and email me at info@alcoveyoga.com. There will be glitches in the beginning. We will all get better at this. Classes will be adjusted for minimal props. I recommend that you set up a practice area in your home with an open space and, if possible, a few props before the start of class: a mat, strap, blankets, and blocks. A chair is also great!
