All classes will take place from 2-4:00 PM. Price $40. (Special Price for IYASCUS members, $35). 12 persons max. These workshop classes will break down a specific posture or class of postures into the actions necessary to perform them. Work slowly and deeply for new and better understanding.
February 18 and March 24th Learning Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand)
Deemed the “queen” of asanas, shoulder stand offers multiple benefits to the digestive, hormonal, nervous, and circulatory systems. Come and learn the actions to prepare your arms, legs, chest, and shoulders for this regal posture.
April 21 Twist and Cleanse
Get the most from your seated twists. Learn how to use your karmendriyas (organs of action) to cleanse and refresh your internal organs. This class is not for pregnant women or those on their menstural cycle.
May 12 Backbends with Ease
Healthy backbends provide great boons to the nervous system and even help relieve depression. In this workshop we will learn to do them without straining the back or exciting the nervous system. Not for menstruating or pregnant women.
June 9 Learning the Ropes: A Special Class on the Great Yoga Wall
You asked for it, you got it! A special class devoted to the Yoga Wall. In this class we will focus on using the ropes to bring new intelligence to standing postures. Limited to 9 persons.
